MUSCATINE, Iowa–On Jan. 13, members of the Muscatine Police and Fire Departments responded to a call in the 300 block of Broadway Street for a female run over by a vehicle. The initial investigation revealed that the collision resulted from a larger disturbance where two groups of people came together for a mutual fight.

Through the course of the investigation, investigators determined that Cora Lynn Reed, a resident of 214 Park Avenue in Muscatine, born June 21, 2004, voluntarily arrived with a passenger in the 300 block of Broadway Street for the purpose of participating in a physical confrontation. As Reed tried to leave the area, she struck a 17-year-old female who also partook in the disturbance. The front tire of Reed’s vehicle ran over the 17-year-old. Reed then reversed the vehicle, running over the 17-year-old a second time. Reed then left the scene with her passenger.
