We are thrilled to announce that Marc Hines, Chief Executive Officer of Crossroads, Inc., has been selected as an honoree for the prestigious Quad Cities Business Journal 2023 Forty Under 40. Marc’s dedication to advocating for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the professionals who support them garnered him this well-deserved honor.
In 2022, Marc assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at Crossroads, Inc, serving Muscatine and Tipton communities. As a prominent community leader, Marc employs his voice to advocate for fair compensation for Direct Support Professionals and to promote the integration of seniors and people with disabilities into the community fabric.
As a new CEO and in direct response to the Department of Justice investigation and closure of Glenwood Resource Center, Marc led the purchase and renovation of a house to expand Supported Community Living services in Muscatine. That house came to fruition and opened in August 2023. With support from colleagues in the Iowa Association of Community Providers, Marc lobbied for legislative change to the Iowa fire code removing language that placed unjust sprinkler requirements on homes providing Home and Community Based Services. Marc and his team spread awareness of the importance of choice and inclusion for seniors and people with disabilities in the Muscatine community. With Marc advocating for them, the future of disability services in Muscatine, Tipton, and the state of Iowa is bright.
