The new school year is just around the corner, and Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) is making final preparations for the start of Fall classes on August 24. EICC includes Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges where registration is well underway.

Students can call the college to make an appointment to register any time during normal business hours. To help students with busy weekday schedules, all three colleges are offering extended hours during the week of August 17 – 21.

Students can stop by and register during the following times:

    • August 17, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
    • August 18, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
    • August 19, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
    • August 20, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
    • August 21, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The college’s main campuses are located at:

Students are encouraged to begin the registration process as soon as possible to provide them a better chance to not only get the classes they want, but to get them at the times they want them. To provide students with even greater choices in planning their education, the college is offering three ways to learn this fall: face-to-face classes, online with a live instructor, traditional online classes, or a combination of all three.

EICC’s college transfer program allows students to complete their first two years of a four-year degree close to home. The state universities and area private colleges work closely with EICC to ensure students completing their Associate in Arts degree here will be able to easily transfer their credits.

The college also offers more than 30 career technology programs designed to allow students to enter directly into the job market. The programs range from a semester in length to a full Associate in Applied Science Degree.

Financial aid is still available for the upcoming academic year and EICC’s tuition continues to be among the most competitive in the state.

For students who have trouble juggling work and family schedules with attending classes, the college offers our Degree Plan for Adults.

For more information about starting classes give the college a call at 1-888-336-3907.
