The Friends of the Old Barn will host an open house the third Saturday of each month May through October.
Their first will take place May 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the event, they will have a petting zoo including a mini donkey, mini pony, mini calf, mini chickens, large rabbits, goats, pigs, and sheep! Attendees may purchase food from Taco Envy, a new local food vendor! The annual Buck Skinners Rendezvous will also take place in Discovery Park that weekend! Please come out and say hello!
Other open houses will take place June 17, July 15, Aug. 19, and Oct 21 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. At this time, the Friends of the Old Barn do not have activities lined up for these dates, but this will likely change.
Sept. 16, we will host our third annual Sunset at the Old Barn. It will include live music provided by local musicians Bill Anson, Scott Anson, and Steve Smith. Taco Envy will again be offering delicious food and drink. September’s open house will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Some seating is provided, but feel free to bring your comfy lawn chairs. Remember to dress according to the weather.
