Family-friendly mystery night includes crafts, escape rooms, and a touch of true crime

Musser Public Library is set to host “Get a Clue with Nancy Drew,” an after-hours event on Friday, May 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., celebrating the 95th anniversary of “The Mystery of the Old Clock,” the inaugural book in the Nancy Drew series. This free, family-friendly gathering invites community members of all ages to engage in activities inspired by the iconic teenage detective.

Event Highlights:

  • Birthday Treats: Commemorate Nancy Drew’s milestone with celebratory sweets.

  • Craft Stations: Participate in hands-on projects designed to spark curiosity.

  • Nancy Drew Timeline: Explore nearly a century of the detective’s history.

  • Trivia Challenge: Assess your knowledge of Nancy Drew’s adventures.

  • Mini Escape Rooms: Designed primarily for children up to age 12, but open to all aspiring detectives.

  • Photo Booths: Pose with recreations of classic Nancy Drew book covers.

  • Local History Spotlight: Attend “The Unsolved Murder Case of James Haney” presentation in Room 104 at 6:20, 6:50, and 7:20 p.m. (Note: Children must be accompanied by an adult.)
