By Sarha DeVrieze, ARNP, UnityPoint Clinic® Pediatrics – Mulberry

We’ve all been there. Your child gets sick, and you call the clinic only to learn it could be days before your child’s appointment, but not at UnityPoint Clinic® Pediatrics – Mulberry, where our team of providers is ready to care for your child the same day or the next. It’s a better approach that’s helping kids in the Muscatine community get the right care at the right time, from expert providers you know and trust.

As a fellow Muskie and parent, I love taking care of families and I’m excited to meet more of you. Our pediatrics team is amazing. We work together to understand and answer the questions and concerns that come with raising a child. We’re here to listen and partner with you during every age and stage of your child’s development.

So, when your child isn’t feeling well, call our clinic first. We’ll do our best to see your child as soon as possible with either their doctor or another pediatric expert, like me. Having a team of providers who know your child means we can assess their symptoms and medical history to get your family back to the busy lives you love. My job is to help Maria-Teresa R. Galoso, MD, and Jenny Olson, DNP, by seeing sick kiddos as fast as possible. I work with both providers directly to diagnose and treat every type of illness.

What does team-based care mean for you and your child? There are many potential advantages to this approach including shorter wait times. Most importantly, it means your child is being cared for by trained medical experts who know your child best.

We want what’s best for you and your child. As your partner in health, we’re dedicated to making it easier for you to live well – so you can show up for the moments that matter most. We work together as a team to champion high-quality, low-cost care. Having a team of care takers means being able to call on the expertise of a variety of team members. Having a larger team supports continuous, data-driven quality improvement through effective communication and problem solving.

Your child’s care is easier and more personal with team-based care at UnityPoint Clinic. Care is better when we all work together. We work with our fellow providers to establish strong relationships to support better health and wellness outcomes. Plus, we believe our approach offers a better patient experience for families. We want your child to get better – and we also want parents to feel empowered and reassured that they’ve made the best choice for their children’s long-term health.

Make your next appointment with Dr. Galoso or Jenny Olson at UnityPoint Clinic Pediatrics – Mulberry. If they are booked, I’ll be happy to see your children for an appointment as fast as possible. Call 563-262-4115 today or visit for more information.
