Girls instructional basketball program scheduled for this Fall

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Girls will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of basketball through ball handling, shooting, and defensive techniques during the Girls Basketball Clinic that will be held this fall sponsored by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department.

 

Trained Parks and Recreation staff will lead this program that will be held on Saturday mornings, October 24 through November 14, in the Central Middle School Gymnasium.

 

Three age divisions will be offered to girls in first through sixth grades. First and second grades will start at 9:00 a.m., third and fourth grades will play at 10:00 a.m., and fifth and sixth grades will begin at 11:00 a.m. 

 

Registrations are being taken now with a $30.00 fee for Muscatine residents and a $35.00 fee for non-residents. All participants will receive a tee-shirt. You may reserve your spot over the phone at (563) 263-0241, in-person at the Parks and Recreation Department office, or online at www.muscatineiowa.gov/registration. The registration deadline is Friday, October 23.
