Kinsley Owens, Eva Kurrier, and Avery Bradley earned first, second, and third place respectively in this year’s Muscatine Lions Club Peace Poster Contest. A longstanding tradition for the Muscatine Lions Club, member Connie Fuller has worked for years to make sure local students can participate in this outstanding art contest. Mary Alice Sessler, a former art teacher for Muscatine Community School District and Saints Mary and Mathias Catholic School, helped mentor the young artists, a role she has enjoyed throughout her career and retirement.
