More to Smile About: Clove Dental Expands Practice

The Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GMCCI) held a ribbon cuttng on August 1st to celebrate the expansion of Clove Dental.

Benjamin Clove, owner of Clove Dental, has had a passion for dentistry for the past eighteen years. After serving as a dentist in the United State Airforce for four years, Clove decided he felt ready to return to Muscatine. He shared he, “moved back here to be close to family.” Now, after fourteen years, Clove looks forward to welcoming his brother William to the practice. To ensure the practice has the facilities to accommodate its growing number of patients, Clove recently expanded his office. To celebrate this growth, and the addition of William to the staff, the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GMCCI) held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, August 1st.

As general dentists, both Clove and his brother will offer just about every kind of dental care a person could need. Clove elaborated, “we offer comprehensive dental services. We do just about everything from simple fillings to specialty procedures and implants.”  Always looking to help out the community, Clove also makes a point using his skills to give back. Each year he, in partnership with several other local businesses, gives one lucky resident a free makeover, complete with tooth whitening and similar services.

Along with the variety of doing many different procedures, Clove values getting to work with people and considers it the best part of his work. “I love interacting with people and working with patients. It’s a joy to come to work. I’m also blessed with a wonderful staff,” he said.

Now that Clove and his brother look to expand their practice and welcome even more patients than ever before, Clove knew that the practice (located at 200 Cleveland Street, Muscatine) would need to grow physically to comfortably accommodate everyone. To that end, Clove purchased the space next to Clove Dental, removed the dividing wall between the two spaces, gutted the new area, and completely refitted it as additional exam rooms. With work on this new section nearly completed, Clove looks forward to showing it off to the public and especially to his patients.

Clove had the perfect opportunity to start letting people see the changes he has made at the GMCCI’s recent ribbon cutting ceremony. A well-attended and festive event, Clove relished allowing everyone to see the newest part of the practice, and to begin getting to know his brother. In addition to getting to socialize and introduce people to the updated practice, Clove also appreciated getting to work with the GMCCI again, and all of the work they have done over the years helping him forge relationships with other business owners in the area. While reflecting on the event, Clove said he felt, “Very grateful. The Chamber’s been a great partner for us.”

Though some work remains to complete the updates to Clove Dental, Clove assures patients the practice continues to run normal hours. If you would like to schedule an appointment with either Dr. Clove, you can reach them at (563)-263-1200 or by visiting their website
