MUSCATINE, Iowa–The Muscatine County Conservation Board is hosting an eagle watch and live raptor programs on Saturday, Jan. 29 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Pearl City Station on the Muscatine Riverfront.
This free family-friendly event includes outdoor viewing of bald eagles, live raptor programs by The RARE Group at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.—sponsored by All Seasons Glass, booths hosted by conservation groups and agencies, coffee, hot chocolate, and crafts for the kids.
A Building Better Birders and Citizen Scientists Workshop presentation on the Milan Bottoms Bald Eagle Night Roost Survey Project 2005-2008 will be given by Kelly McKay (BioEco Research and Monitoring Center), with assistance from Mark Roberts (Clinton County Conservation) and Brian Ritter (Nahant Marsh Education Center) at 12:30 p.m. Funding provided by REAP (Resources Enhancement & Protection fund) and CEP (Conservation Education Program).
