    Muscatine County Democratic candidates to host weekend event

    WILTON, Iowa–Sunday, July 19 several Democratic candidates running for office in Muscatine will hold a rally. The event will take place at the Wilton Community Center from noon until 3 p. m.

    Over the course of the afternoon Muscatine County Board of Supervisors candidate Edward Askew, Muscatine County Sheriff candidate Mike Channon, and Muscatine County Auditor candidate Brandy Harfst will all speak, and several other candidates may make appearances. Candidates plan to address a variety of topics and welcome questions and concerns from those in attendance. Jeff’s Market will cater the event, providing hot dogs, chips, and soft drinks for attendees.

    This event takes place ahead of the general election that will take place this November on November 3. County residents will vote for a variety of county, state, and national offices.
