MUSCATINE, Iowa–As much as everyone enjoys a good sit-down breakfast or afternoon snack, some days prove just too busy. Marcella Alimoski has big plans to offer a new option to people on the go with her new business, Muskie Energy and Coffee Drinks, set to open at the end of this month.
Marcella Alimoski originally got the idea to start Muskie Energy and Coffee Drinks from her father-in-law, Andy Alimoski, owner of the Muscatine Family Restaurant. “We were looking to branch out into something a little bit different than the restaurant,” she detailed.
Located just outside the Muscatine Family Restaurant at 1903 Park Avenue, the Muskie Energy and Coffee Drinks trailer will feature a two-sided drive through. Guests will get to choose from a wide variety of invigorating drinks to get them through the day, such as specialty coffee drinks similar to Frappuccinos and lattes, energy drinks, and freshly blended smoothies. For those looking for something a little more substantial than just a drink, Muskie Energy and Coffee Drinks will have grab and go breakfast items and sandwiches as well.
Because people’s days start early and end late, Muskie Energy and Coffee Drinks will have extensive hours. Open from 4:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily, coffee drinkers and energy drink fanatics will have a chance to satisfy their cravings whenever they strike.
No matter when customers stop by though, Marcella Alimoski assures them they will get the best service possible. “We’ll make sure we have good service, quick in and out service, and service with a smile,” she emphasized.
Currently, Marcella Alimoski plans to open Muskie Energy and Coffee Drinks and the end of January, pending city inspections. Once the drink trailer does open, she welcomes the opportunity to start growing her business and continuing the Alimoski tradition of running excellent eateries. “It’s locally owned and very family oriented,” she emphasized, noting that her husband, Boni Alimoski, and several other family members have helped her get it started and will continue to assist where they can.
Marcella Alimoski especially looks forward to, “building another clientele there and getting to provide drinks and specialty coffees uptown–I know we have that downtown, but not uptown.”
When Muskie Energy and Coffee Drinks officially opens, Marcella Alimoski also plans to start a Facebook page for it. She encourages anyone who would like to stay in the know about specials and new offerings at the drink trailer to follow the page once it goes live and to check it frequently for updates.

This new addition to the Alimoski family’s numerous area restaurants will surely grow quite popular with many in the community in the months ahead.
