MUSCATINE, Iowa–For their outstanding skills and leadership, two students who participated in the Muscatine Police Department’s Junior Police Academy this summer received scholarships. Muscatine Community College presented Muscatine High School senior Gabby Lingle with the first scholarship. Gabby will attend Muscatine Community College to study criminal justice after she graduates from Muscatine High School. The Muscatine Police Officer’s Association presented the second scholarship to Freddy Vergara. Vergara, a first year student at Southeastern Community College who graduated from Columbus High School, will begin studying criminal justice this year.
