Police arrest six suspects in Madison School vandalization

MUSCATINE, Iowa–On Aug. 5, the Muscatine Police Department and Muscatine Fire Department responded to Madison Elementary School, 1820 First Avenue, Muscatine for a fire alarm. When officers arrived, they observed thousands of dollars of damage inside the school due to vandalism.

An ongoing investigation by the Muscatine Police Department has brought about the arrest of six teenagers for their involvement during the incident at Madison Elementary School.

The department made the following arrests:

  • Male, age 17, arrested for burglary third degree (class D felony), theft second degree (class D felony), and criminal mischief first degree (class C felony).
  • Male, age 16, arrested for burglary third degree (class D felony), theft second degree (class D felony), and criminal mischief first degree (class C felony).
  • Female, age 16, arrested for burglary third degree (class D felony), theft second degree (class D felony), and criminal mischief first degree (class C felony).
  • Female, age 15, arrested for burglary third degree (class D felony), theft second degree (class D felony), and criminal mischief first degree (class C felony).
  • Female, age 16, arrested for burglary third degree (class D felony), theft second degree (class D felony), and criminal mischief first degree (class C felony).
  • Female, age 18, arrested for burglary third degree (class D felony), theft second degree (class D felony), and criminal mischief first degree (class C felony).
