Why are you running for election?
I am running for election to because I enjoy my job and working with the public. Customer service is a top priority for me, as well as securely maintaining all records held in this office.
What are the three most important issues facing your office over the next term?
The most important thing facing this office will be the implementation of a new State Vital Record system. We continue to train for this upcoming transition to be as prepared as possible for this changeover. Maintaining knowledge of the ever changing laws.
What are the three most important issues facing Muscatine County over the next term?
Gas and grocery prices that continue to rise.
What is the most important thing you would like voters to know about you that they may not?
I have worked for Muscatine County for 25 years, 23 being in the Recorder’s office. I was born and raised in Muscatine, and continue to live here with my husband, Lonnie Hearst. This is a great place to live and I look forward to continue serving the people of this area.
