DES MOINES, Iowa–Senator Mark Lofgren visited the Habitat for Humanity house at the Iowa State fair Aug. 15. Habitat for Humanity volunteers plan to build the house in only nine days, allowing them to both showcase their work and final product to fairgoers before transporting it to its permanent location in Des Moines for a family to occupy. Earlier this spring, Lofgren attended Muscatine County Habitat for Humanity’s groundbreaking for their current project to build a new home for a family in Muscatine.
