An outgoing student, Emerson Drake participated in many student groups, including choir, mentoring, Students for Earth, and Young Life, and served as class vice president twice. Always studious, Emerson made honor roll each year, belonged to the National Honor Society, and made academic all-conference in cross country. A stellar athlete, Emerson competed in basketball, cross country, and soccer.
