    Vision 2020 Building a Strong Foundation

    Muscatine Vision 2020
    Vision 20/20 will address and coordinate the work Muscatine Welfare Association, Senior Resources, Crossroads, and the Muscatine Center for Social Action (MCSA) in providing services to better meet the needs of senior, disabled, and displaced persons in Muscatine County. Vision 20/20 will develop an organization system and staff to maintain and support the integrity of the services provided to and for Muscatine County residents. The collaborative work of Vision 20/20 will encourage and assist the sustainability of these four organizations, and potential additional nonprofits, and their services in the City and County of Muscatine, Iowa.

    The hiring of Chief Financial Officer, Steve Morenz, to the Vision 2020 team marks a strategic milestone in the journey toward their mission to provide leadership and resources to assure that human service organizations in the Muscatine area meet the needs.


    Steve Morenz joins Vision 2020 with a long history of success working in the non-profit sector since 1998. Recently serving as CFO and Director of Human Resources for Riverbend Food Bank and Director of Finance for Quad City Symphony Orchestra Association. Steve’s passion lies in the mission behind non-profit work. Steve’s approach to an organization wide understanding to finances and budgeting helps empower his colleagues in providing efficient and effective programing. It was Steve’s passion for non-profit work that lead him to apply for the position with Vision 2020. “It is great to have someone with Steve’s caliber on our team. He comes to us with extensive experience; high level education; and a good understanding of the mission work we are doing with Medicaid, grants and philanthropic funding.” States Vision 2020 CEO, Cheryl Plank

    When not in the office Steve enjoys a winter snowball fight with the grandkids, or the wind therapy of a summer ride on his Harley Davidson. Residing in Rock Island, Steve looks forward to building more connections and learning more about the Muscatine Community. Steve is excited for this new opportunity stating, “I also consider this to be a tremendous opportunity. What Vision 2020 is doing is such a great thing for all the of organizations involved, and to be a part of it is a great honor and privilege.” Help us in welcoming Steve to Muscatine and Vision 2020.
