MTS featuring Senior Resources and MCSA

Today we will have new Adult Day Car Center Director Ana Isaacson, Adult Day Center Director, and Laura Vargas, Outreach Coordinator, on the show talking about adult services including a free day for seniors to try the Adult Day Center. and the Adopt A Senior program. Stuart and Ellie will be joining Autumn on the show to talk about the Wellness Fair at MCSA on Dec 1st. The event and transportation are free. Transportation is being provided by Muscabus. They are asking that people call two days in advance to schedule a ride. There will be a lot of resources at the event (all free): HIV testing, Covid and Flu vaccines, haircuts, domestic violence resources, mental health resources, housing resources, several businesses will be hosting a job fair (Bayer, Cor-Tech, Team Staffing, Iowa Works, Temp Associates, Cross Roads), Muscabus will be providing information about the bus system, United Way, Trinity Public Health, Scott County Public Health, IA Total Care, Safelink Wireless, QC Harm Reduction, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Senior Resources, Family Resources, Eastern IA Crisis, CHC, Center for Behavior Health, Safe Families for Children, Salvation Army, Heart and Soul, and Goodwill will have a table set up. There will be a free to-go meal and dessert provided as well as a hot chocolate station. IA Legal Aid will have a table set up to sign people up for the Expungement and Employment Barriers Clinic they are hosting at MCSA on Dec. 15th. They are able to assist with criminal and juvenile record clearing, drivers license reinstatement, court debt assistance, and other areas related to barriers to employment, housing, and education.
