Marjorie “Margie” Seright, 98, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Lutheran Living.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 2:30 pm. to 4:00 p.m. at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Funeral Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.  A memorial has been established in Marjorie’s name.    Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Marjorie M. Newcomb was born on May 8, 1924, in Drury Township, Illinois, the daughter of Cecil and Lettie (Howard) Newcomb.  On May 24, 1942, Marjorie was united in marriage to Lawrence Seright in Kahoka, Missouri.  Marjorie worked several years at H.J. Heinz Co. She enjoyed cooking, doing needlework, babysitting and spending time with her grandkids.

Marjorie will be deeply missed by her daughter, Patricia Richardson of Muscatine; grandchild, C. Scott (Michelle) Richardson; six great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild; siblings, Betty Tompkins and Clara Stratton; special cousin, Bernice Beckman and several nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Richard Richardson; siblings, Beverly, Geraldine, Harold, Weldon, Ross, Grace and Ronnie.
